Iikka Järvi
Double bass
Iikka Järvi began playing the double bass at the age of five at the Espoo Music Institute. At the Sibelius Academy, he initially studied in the youth program and later in the soloist program under Juho Martikainen. Soon after, he secured a position in the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. After working there for a few years, Iikka spent a year studying at the Zagreb Academy of Music. Following his studies in Zagreb, he successfully auditioned for a position in the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO). Currently, he serves as the associate principal double bassist in the RSO.
During his student years, Iikka had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with both the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
