Daichi Nakamura
Violin
A Japanese violinist resident in Vienna, Daichi Nakamura from Kitakyushu, has taken part in competitions, winning several international awards: 1st prize at 24.Johannes Brahms International Competition, and some prizes such as in Rodolfo Lipizer, Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, Aram Khachaturian and Kreisler International Competition. After winning the Nedjalka Simeonova Competition in 2011, he made his European debut playing Beethoven's Violin Concerto with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, he has performed as a guest soloist with many renowned symphony orchestras such as NDR Radiophilharmonie, Haydn Philharmonie, St. Petersburg Symphony, Kärntner Symphony, Wallonie Royal Chamber, New Japan Symphony, Nagoya Philharmonie, Central-Aichi Symphony, Japan Century Orchestra and Kyushu Symphony. He has been invited to Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival to be held as a guest performer.
His CD Complete Brahms Sonatas for Violin and Piano has been released by Victor Classic. Now he is loaned Guarneri del Gesu 1738 “Sophie Haas” by H. Kitayama.
