Gita Kadambi

General Director of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet

Since January 2018, Gita Kadambi has served as the General Director of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet. From 2013 to 2017, she was the General Manager of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and from 2010 to 2013, she worked as Head of Human Resources and HR Partner at Yleisradio (Finnish Broadcasting Company). Prior to these roles, Kadambi served as Deputy General Manager for the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has held various production roles at the Savonlinna Opera Festival and the Finnish National Opera and Ballet.

Gita Kadambi has a broad understanding of the cultural field, enhanced by her experience in leading creative individuals and organizations. She is a seasoned professional in classical music with a passion for strategic leadership, as well as the development of digital services and customer experience. Gita Kadambi is a goal-oriented and responsible visionary, who leads with a people-centered approach through open communication and attentive listening.
