Maris Gothoni

General Manager of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra

Maris Gothoni is a Finnish-Austrian figure in the music world and has served as the General Manager of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra since August 2024. Previously, Gothoni worked as the Artistic Planning Manager for the Belgian National Orchestra and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he has been involved in various classical music planning roles for orchestras and festivals in multiple countries, for example in South Korea, Taiwan, England, and Germany. In Finland, he co-curated the Porvoo Suvisoitto summer festival program in 2023 with the Korean composer Unsuk Chin. Gothoni studied at the Berlin University of the Arts, earning a diploma with a focus on solo piano. He has also studied arts management at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre.
